Smart Projection System Control Panel

The KP2 is a Smart Projection System Control Panel to control projectors, presentation switchers, flat panel displays and other devices by RS232 command string protocol.

The front panel features 11 buttons. Eight can be programmed to send a single RS232 command string to turn projectors and other devices ON and OFF and to switch between source inputs.

Screen UP, DOWN and STOP close and open relay contact closures to control motorized projection screens and projector lifts.

ON and OFF buttons can be programmed to send up to 4 RS232 command strings with delay timing. Programming the ON button to send the command to turn on the projector followed by a 5 second delay and then sending the command to switch to the projector’s HDMI input is one example where this feature is useful.

In Linkage Mode pressing the ON button sends the RS232 power on command(s) to the projector followed by closing the DOWN relay to lower a motorized projection screen or lift. Pressing the OFF button sends the RS232 power off command(s) followed by closing the UP relay to raise the motorized projection screen or lift.
